Klipsch HD500 Home Theater Speaker System
This Klipsch HD500 Home Theater Speaker System is compact, and simple to set up and use. It consists of four identical speakers for main and surround sound use, a center channel for precise dialogue and a subwoofer for heart-thumping effects.
Each main and surround speaker is a sealed enclosure finished in high-gloss piano black with a 2.5-inch woofer and a MicroTractrix horn-loaded 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeter inside. The magnetically shielded center channel — so it won’t interfere with your TV picture — shares the same durable, high-quality attributes, except it employs dual woofers.
But what makes these speakers and center channel truly unique is their horn-loaded technology, an exclusive design that has made Klipsch an industry leader for over 60 years. Nice upgrade for my home theater. Does great on both movies and music, with a good subwoofer that now rattles the entertainment center. My last Yamaha home theater speakers did well on movies, but not so well on music. Very pleased - plays loud with no distortion. I can't believe the bang for the buck and they look nice too. Would definitely buy again.

I went from a older Bose pass through system and this one is much better. The subwoofer is superior and the overall sound is as good if not better. This system is a great value.

This system performs well for such small drivers. I was a little skeptical based on the 8'' sub, but the sub actually produces great sound!

I got these with the Yam471 combo, which seems to be a great match for our 15x12 room. I tested them with Pink Floyd's Pluse DVD and was instantly blown away. The sound is effortless and clear, even at excessively high levels. The bass isn't overpowering, but it is accurate. Ours is set just under half way, and xover at 150Hz. For those claiming that the bass is lacking, it certainly puts out enough to shake pictures off the walls. I wouldn't use these for dance or rap music, but these will reward you with excellent sound with pretty much anything else. Movies and TV have also been quite enjoyable. Our previous 5.1 system seemed good, until we fired up this new set. We are hearing things much more clearly. These sound great at low volume, and get even better as you turn the volume up.
