Did not work out of the box. However when I moved the power connector inside, it started working.
I am using a WD media player for a year now. So I thought I'll do the same at a different location.
The deciding factor for choosing this model was; the capability to accept a laptop drive internally.
The product itself is good, BUT this concept is changing. I returned it and now running an Eee Box Media computer..
This is an awesome product

I have had this thing for bout 8 months now and haven't had any trouble with it except for when I switched to 7. Then when I contacted tech support they responded promptly and helped me with my network issue. It streams from my computers on the network and plays any format I can throw at it. It has the most features of any player out there and is easy to use. I am looking to purchase another one since they came out with one that accepts a 3.5 hard drive called the Showcase. Your company has yet to offer it though, so when they do I will be adding one to my shopping cart.

Dont buy this media player, It freezes up when trying to play types of media that it is soppose to play. Couldn't get network to work either. Will be returning for refund
