Bought the Player when i was home in Toronto last month to give it as a thanks giving gift to afriend. recieved it in its Box on 9th Oct,2009. Kept it boxed until i travelled to Kuwait to give it to my friend. Unfortunatelly and it was very embaressing, the player was not functioning on BR Medias! very sad after bringing it all the way. Contacted the vendor and recieved only one e-mail of instructions of use which was very clear without this message. Then contacted the vender again with 2 messages explainig the embaressment but no answer at all.
Had to ship it back thr' DHL to Toronto to my son to Return it after i got the R. autherization no. it is on its way to Toronto and hope it will get there before the 9th. So sad and embarresed and had to pay a lump sum for DHL to return!!

For the price, nothing beats this drive. Despite what you may have read, USB 2.0 is more than sufficient for blu-ray playback. This drive worked fine with XP out of the box, but had some rather confusing issues with Vista 64 - and there are no drivers online. A few days of fiddling and software installing and I got it to work.
Playback using the bundled software was sub-par, to say the least. I was disappointed until I picked up a copy of PowerDVD, which utilized my hardware better, and allowed for silk-smooth playback. If you plan on watching blu-ray, don't depend on the bundled software, it's crippled. Once the drive was working on both PCs with the right software, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. |

I have a rather new desktop computer a Dell Studio with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 (2.33GHZ) Processor and an AIT Radeon HD 3450 256MB, RMT Video Card plus Integrated 7.1 Audio. I also use Power DVD Ultra 9 with Theater Audio and Video.
I pluged the Liondisk LBU External in and it worked perfectly fine. Get one to enjoy your Blu-Ray and regular DVD's like never before. |

This is one the smallest Blu-ray drive in the market. Hardware installed easily, software installed easily. I have connected it to both my Sony laptop and dell PC and it worked flawlessly. I am very happy with this product. If you are looking for a standalone Blu-ray player for your home or office use, I will recommend this product. |
