Wonderful Box

Setup took five minutes. Worked perfectly and actually is faster as a modem than my old one. Not too shabby!

One of the last good analog DSL wireless modems

I am still running my system through my telephone line DSL. Actiontec is one of the last that are still available. My DSL speed is 150 mbps and is all I need for basic computer access to the internet. The wizard gives a few ways to setup and if your Internet provider is listed in their setup, then you get through with the setup in just a few minutes. My connections are maxxed out and even when I use my Desktop while the wife is online with her netbook or laptop, our connections never interfere with the other one's work. Network connections on the laptops are 145 mbps plus. If you still use your phone line to connect to the internet with DSL service, this is the modem that you need. You will not be disappointed. I rated 4 stars for value because I believe the $69.99 price is just a bit too high. Other than that, I have had great performance for over the three months that I have been using the Actiontec modem.

Great value

Seamless install, very easy, setup in just a few minutes. Wifi was just as easy to setup. So far this is exactly what I was hoping for.

Good deal

Simple installation. Configured without problems. I was switching from AT&T to Sonic and bought this instead of the Sonic unit. It works perfectly.

Beware of Possible Infant Mortality!

This unit worked great out of the box and did everything I wanted. Then in two weeks it failed. I contacted ActionTec and they identified the problem as a internal short from my discription. They responded quickly and sent me a new unit, but I had to pay return shipping on the defective one. I am hoping the new one lasts longer. So far it's OK.
