Product did not work from the get go. Keep getting error message 103, paper jam even when trying to scan from glass top! Documentation has no key to error messages. Bulletscan does not answer their support phone line or their emails. Sales phone says leave a message for Murray.
Would be great if installation had worked on Win 7
The good: 1. It's a solid, fast scanner. The sheet feeder is what I bought it for, and it works well for single-sided documents. 2. It's a great deal at 55% off list price. 3. The free software is powerful with a great OCR package, multi-page PDF and Microsoft Office integration. The not-so-good: 1. I had to quit the installation program and install the each of the software packages by hand (not Windows 7 compatible?). 2. The hardware installation manual was sparse and seemed incomplete (What's the extra cartridge for? When will I need it? How do I install it?) 3. It took me several hours to figure out how I wanted to use the software, even though I'm an experienced scanner user. A hardcopy feature guide for the software would be useful. Hint: access everything from Presto PageManager.
Not Junk, but Not Impressed Either
Title kind of says it all. It works. It's not junk, but I wish I would have saved the money and spent it on something quality.
