I had the chip for a few weeks now. I replaced LGA 775 with this chip. It has worked great. And for the price it was a great step up.
Economically Priced Powerhouse
I finally made the jump from P4 to i3. For the money, this thing runs rings around my other machine (which is dedicated to IP telephony now). I purchased a case with 2 120mm cooling fans and venting on all sides, so no heat issues at all for me. Great value.

Great value
I assembled a Core i3 PC with Linux, and this just runs great. The only issue I had was with the CPU fan. It's not really effective when you run intensive programs like video editing or if you have background processes like servers running. The processor thermal trip would trigger ever so often, specially when I was running a webserver and editing code on Eclipse. I installed a high-performance CPU fan for about 25 bucks and now this runs without trouble for hours together.
