Netbooks are secured with a 14-gauge locking point that protrudes through a cutout in the front doors and is secured with a padlock. Rear access electrical doors are similarly secured; computers may not be removed through the rear of the cart. Each cart includes two 40mm, four dial combination locks with a hardened steel shackle and plastic cover to protect the finish. Combination padlocks may be programmed by the user
Notebook carts are finished in antimicrobial powder paint, which is intended to inhibit the growth of bacteria odors, mold, mildew and fungi. Antimicrobial properties are incorporated into a powder paint finish and applied during the finishing process, covering the entire product. Antimicrobial finish is colorless, odorless, will not wash off, and remains effective for the life of the product.
The NETBOOK32 series carts are constructed using "prime" steel which has 25% to 35% post-consumer recycled content and all steel components are fully recyclable at the end of the product life cycle.
