Not only are these headsets very expensive, they do not have the power of the 120 series. My husband did not find them loud enough. The buttons on the side are very difficult for a man's fingers, push one push them all. The buttons are difficult to identify, you cannot see them without taking the headset off. The new TV's like panasonic do not have a rca output so the headsets do not work with them. It was suggested I buy a 320.00 adapter to make them work. I did the math and went to buy a cable box and a headset(sennheiser) for 247.00.
Very good but expensive
Very good Wireless haedphone, sound quality and RF is much more better thant the previous generation. The price is not fair, even for a high quality one. Only one bad point, The casing of The station should be made in a another quality material, like Aluminium, but not in cheap plastic.
Surround sound wireless headphone
Good quality product - although the price could be a bit lower, may be around $150
RS170 vs RS180
Well, I couldn't decide which set would best serve my needs, so I got both! I use the closed RS170's downstairs with my home theatre set-up, and I really like the bass boost feature for music and movies. The room also includes a hot tub with a constant pump noise, which the closed design really attenuates. I use the RS180's upstairs with the TV in the living room, where the open design is nice in case someone wants to talk to you. The RS180 sound quality is slightly more open and natural, even without the bass boost. Range is really amazing on both, and I think both are fantastic products. After a couple of hours I sometimes have to fiddle with the cans for comfort, but it's not a big deal. Get the RS170 closed design to block out ambient noise and if you like big bass, the RS180 for absolute clarity without isolating yourself. Both will give you great performance.
