Excellent product
Arrived on time, Just hooked up with USB and put it to work
Just get it!
The right size drive at the right price. I use this as added storage on my Time Capsule. It does not appear to spin until it is being written to, and even then it's fairly quiet.
No complaints.
WD 2.5 TB external HD
Im a bit disappointed with the performance and speed of this HD.
I tried to find the speed of the drive before buying it, but the actual speed of the drive was not in the specifications. I just wanted it as a back-up for my laptop for photos and data. When I received it, I read the box and accompanying instruction sheet and the speed was still not available.
I love Western Digital drives, and internal drives Always has the RPMs in the specs.
When I back up my homes finances Excel spreadsheet it's really slow. The spreadsheet isn't that large a file.
Transferring multiple photos takes a long time as well.
Also disappointing is the fact that there's no backup software included.
One would thing that an external hard drive, obviously used for backups, would include backup software.
Excellent buy
The WD external drives continue to be at the top of the list in my opinion. I own several and this addition is working wonderfully well. Simple to install; no problems in working.
Couldn't ask for more!!
