What you should know

Assembling Barebones Computer Kits & Computer Cases
Remember when assembling one of our money-saving Barebone Computer Kits, or
installing your existing computer components into a new computer case, you
may have to modify the case to fit your components - This Is Normal!
Cases are designed to hold and accommodate a wide variety of motherboards,
interface cards, connectors, and other components. Because of this,
the case manufacturer designs their cases with easily removable panels to
allow these components to properly fit in the case. All you need to do
is punch them out with a screw driver or fold them over with a pair of
pliers to snap out the metal piece for your exact components. In this
way, you save the cost of assembling your computer, and have the
satisfaction of building your own workstation.
PLEASE NOTE:
Carefully read all documentation BEFORE you start to assemble your Barebones
Kit or add components to a Computer Case. Some components need to be
assembled in a specific order. Also place the components in the case
temporarily to confirm any modifications (punch outs) that need to be made
to fit that component.

Fair value
Sounded great in the description. Installed Ubuntu and had to get into the BIOS to get the wi-fi(even a usb wi-fi device) and webcam to work. The video memory is set at 8MB and cannot be increased. My wife's Nook tablet has better video. Even youtube video and browser based flash games bog down the system. There is also a line of dead pixels on my screen. The touchscreen goes haywire from time to time. Don't expect much more than basic surfing and e-mail out of this. It's a nice unit, but spend a little more for a better machine.
All in one for all
It is in-use as the household office computer... it is the main computer my wife uses for all of her computer needs within the limited counter space of the kitchen.
It is an atom processor so you shouldn't expect this to be a gaming rig. I have a standard 500GB drive from a laptop and the 4GB of 800MHz ram was from another laptop upgrade so this was done on the cheap. So since it is seamlessly streaming internet audio and video for our uses we are quite happy.
The drivers are all there on the included disk bit it would be nice if the touchscreen reacted like other touchscreens without having to download something separately.
Good Product
Make sure you purchase Laptop Ram and Hard Drive. I figured it would be like my Dell Touchscreen and take full size parts since it doesn't mention it in the description so I bought the wrong stuff. Once I got everything situated I installed 4Gig Ram and a Momentus XT 500GB Solid State Hybrid Drive. It runs Windows 7 ok a little slow at times but worth the money
Great computer!
This computer runs ubuntu linux great! I run all my hardware, and the touch screen is supported by shuttle! Everything works. super fast workstation and gaming rig!
Ultra low power consumption
I loaded one of these up with 4Gb DDR3, 80Gb SSD, and Win7 Pro x86. It performs very well, and even streams and plays video seemlessly.
Next I plugged it into my Kill-a-Watt meter to measure power consumption, and it idles at about 25W and running BITS (Burn In Test) at full load consumes about 28W. Amazing!
