Only the best SATA Hard Drives in our servers
Servers are meant to be reliable. The simple fact is if you're using SATA disks in a RAID array in your server and they're not an Enterprise Class drive, you're going to have issues. This server contains Enterprise Class SATA hard disks. We're as serious as you are about your data reliability.
It all starts with the board
Reliability ultimately depends on the quality of the components a server is built with and Systemax takes our components very seriously. Our board is a server class X9SCL from Supermicro engineered by Systemax to provide some of the best reliability at this price point period.
The chassis is also a high level performer
Everyone always forgets about the chassis. It's the unit that ties all of the server components together and ultimately, helps protect your data. Our VLS series chassis provides tool-less, heavy gauge steel design, a shock mounted fan, quick installation drive bays, HDD cage turns 90-degrees towards the tech, and Kensington Lock security. Hold the side panel in your hands and you'll agree, our VLS chassis is second-to-none.

Great server for the price
Been running this server at a customers location for six months now. Rock solid. I've had no issues with the drives, they're enterprise class SATA. I've bought HP servers that didn't even have these. This thing is built like a tank! I run CentOS on this server and have the CPU peaked out most of the day. Great little box. Board is a Supermicro, that's a plus too.
So far so good. Been running strong. Great Price
It went south in 48 hours
both hard drives went south in 48 hours ,cost me more in employee times that I spent in the system
