IOGEAR Phaser 3-in-1 Presentation/ Mouse
IOGEAR's Phaser 3-in-1 Presenter/ Mouse is an excellent tool for medical offices, libraries, and schools as well as for mobile professionals, gamers, and desktop users. No wires mean you've got the freedom to walk around the room during your presentation without being bound to the computer. Compatible with both PCs and Macs, the unit's advanced 27MHz Radio Wave technology allows it to work at any location and from any direction within its 30 feet range. Even nicer, there's no need to point the mouse toward the computer or sensors. The thumb-operated omni-directional cursor control allows the unit to work as a full-functioned mouse, as well as a remote presenter. The built-in laser pointer helps you to direct the audience's attention to where you want it.

The price is nice and the features are good. In theory this is a good product. Unfortunately I had constant problems with the mouse losing contact with the computer causing me to switch usb ports until I found one that got it going again. After working with it for a couple of weeks I tossed it on the floor and broke it. Problem solved. If it worked right, this was a nice product. Being tethered by its charging port is a pain but workable. Losing contact with the computer is a common problem with most usb devices, usually requiring the occasional unplug and reset. In this case it was just happening too many times to be usable.
Pretty awesome piece of tech, but...
It seems to take a while to ''start up''. Seems kind of strange to me for this kind of tech. Never had a wireless KB or mouse (this is sortof a combo of a kb and trackball in presenter mode) need to ''start up'' before. Other than that, operation is smooth, even from across the room from the dock. My mobo keeps power on the usb ports even with the computer shut down, so the recharge works as long as the PSU is on. Other than that I'd suggest getting a powered usb 2.0 hub and use the ac adapter that should come with the hub. Otherwise you might not be able to charge the unit.
Quality and price tops
This mouse is very good for normal mousing and presentation use. However, I was a bit surprised when I saw the docking station that is required to make it run. Because of this, I feel it's as cumbersome as a wired mouse for portable use. I need a place to put the docking station AND a place to run the mouse when not in presentation mode, so its overall usefulness was not what I expected. Also, it doesn't always connect the first time when I plug it in.
Just needs better controls
As a mouse it's a regular 3 button mouse, switch it to pointer mode you lose your right click. With 5 accessible buttons to use as the right click when in pointer mode why can't it be available. Take in mind you gain two buttons from switching from mouse to pointer, one which is a laser pointer. Now your down to 4 buttons, but no matter what you can't set any of them to the right click.
great
