NOT 1080p Like ad claims!

Overall this is a decent product. That said there are some things you should know. First and foremost, is that this is 1080i NOT 1080p as the description claims, the box CLEARLY states that it's 1080i. I almost returned this for that reason alone, but decided to give it a shot anyway. The software likes to crash pretty regularly, but I guess you get what you pay for. When it works it works great! But I have had it detect a channel perfectly fine one moment with a very strong signal and then a few minutes later it acts like nothing is there anymore until I restart the PC and then it's back and working great again. Does this both with included software and Media Center but not nearly as much in MC. So if you are willing to put up with this things idiosyncrasies, then it's worth the money savings compared to the other brands.

ok product

Tuner works fine on windows 7 ultimate on windows media center and software on cd. Software randomly crashes so i prefer to use WMC for this. Both the antenna and remote control provided are horrible. Signal is pretty bad with the antenna provided. So much that i threw it away. I got much better signal from an antenna from the dollar store. For the remote control to work you literally have to be pointing within a couple of inches at the usb.

Be Aware

This product claims to be Win 7 compatible which is true for the hardware however accompanying siftware is not. I contacted the software manufacurer and I was told provided software is not Win 7 compatible. I do not unbderstand how products can be paired that are incompatible

Good except for a things

I bought this to get TV on my laptop to use on a projector, and it works fine. Like others, I haven't been able to get the remote working. For one, when you install the remote control software the process involves reading Chinese. Furthermore, the install folder for the remote is under MSI not the two other Arcsoft folders. I haven't been able to get the remote working to this point. The battery may be dead because I don't see the little light turning on in front of the remote so I will have to test this out later. Last, my other complaint is the scanning of channels took nearly 15 minutes. However, you only need to do this once. The clarity of the picture is excellent and I was surprised with such a small antenna I could get enough signal strength. I have yet to try it any of the other features.

1080i not 1080p

I do like this usb tv tuner however it is being advertised as supporting up to 1080p and it clearly reads on the box and in the manual that its supporting only up to 1080i. Otherwise great for only 30 bucks.
