Great Product
I upgraded a seven year old HP laptop with memory and a network card when the DVD drive quit. I ordered the newer teac product. The delivery was fast the price was right and the installation was simple. The drive works great!!

Not for TOSHIBA!!
Worked fine when in Windows. I didn't really test it. Mainly wanted to use it for a reinstall of my Toshiba P25 laptop's OS but the bios wouldn't recognize it. BOO! on Toshiba.
Don't expect it to work with Toshiba bios!!
Excellent product and price!
Bought as a replacement for a failed drive in my Toshiba laptop. Swapped out tray from old drive to new in under 20 minutes and was up and running. DVD playback is awesome, well worth the money!
CDRW DVD ROM
Installed in an Laptop. Had to change the front plastic bezel with old plastic bezel,not too difficult. Seems to work well so far. This company has been around for a long time. Time will tell how this holds up, but great so far. 2mb cache buffer is nice too. Some new drives are only 1.5mb buffer. I would buy this again. 1 point off for quality because I hear a clicking every once in a great while, maybe i stressed the drive changing the bezel idk, still happy and works great.
