The Tritton Simple NAS is a cost effective network attached storage solution
designed for the home or small office user. Connect the Simple NAS directly
into your network through the CAT5 port located on the back of the unit. Share
music, photos, movies and your data with everyone on the network simultaneously
whether you are reading or writing data. Use as an FTP server, media storage
server and backup critical data. The included backup software allows for scheduling
unattended backup tasks, self executable backups, encrypted backups, compressed
file backups and much more. Setup is simple and only takes few minutes to be
up and running. Administering the Simple NAS is done through a web based interface
by logging onto the unit via your web browser.

Office environment with 4 computers
Good feature set, good gui, cheap, easy to setup.
terrible access speed, gets bogged down easily with very little interaction. Had to replace for office use (went buffalo giga). Using at home for residential, still slow on access. Terrible seek times on movies (jump forward/fast forward). Possibly recommend for home user for price, not recommended for any sort of speed conscious business.

This is my 3'rd different NAS unit. Out of the 3 that I have personally tried this one is by far the best! Speed is just great, Super simple set up, a very user friendly GUI interface. This one worked right out of the box, unlike others that I have to either install software or configure my computer. Just plug it in and GO! No software needed! I like this one so much I am going to buy another and replace the ones I have and sell them on e-bay.
