It features (24) 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit ports, (4) Combo SFP slots, and support for an optional RPSU. It also features wire-speed forwarding, 8K MAC addresses, and the ability to prioritize traffic into (8) priority queues. It brings advanced Enterprise functions to a new level of affordability without compromising advanced features, with features that include: QoS/CoS, Multicast, VLANs, Port Trunking, and Network Management. Its (4) SFP slots allow it to adapt to changes in media requirements.
High Performance Wire-Speed Architecture
The DGS-3224TGR supports full duplex wire-speed forwarding, 8,000 MAC addresses and the ability to classify and mark traffic based on 802.1p, DiffServ, ToS, MAC Address, IP Address and/or TCP/UDP Port Numbers into (8) priority queues. The DGS-3224TGR can be used as a cost-effective Gigabit wiring closet solution or a high performance backbone aggregation device.
Network Management
D-Link's DGS-3224TGR addresses today's diverse business and IT requirements through its robust support of standards based on network management protocols (SNMP/RMON/BOOTP/Telnet/Web) and port mirroring. By supporting standards-based network management protocols, the DGS-3224TGR can be easily integrated with most third-party network management products.
Advanced Enterprise Features
The DGS-3224TGR brings advanced Enterprise functions to a new level of affordability without compromising advanced features including: QoS/CoS, Multicast, VLANs, Port Trunking Port Mirroring, Rapid Spanning Tree, Security, and Network Management. These features facilitate the deployment of applications across an Enterprise,
including: VOIP, streaming media, and multicast content delivery (IP video, software deployment... etc.).
Investment Protection
With support for up to (4) GBIC modules, the DGS-3224TGR can easily adapt to changes in customer media requirements without the need to perform an expensive "forklift" upgrade. By supporting SFP mini/GBIC modules, customers can migrate to more advanced solutions in the future, while still protecting a portion of their original investment.
